About the Show
G.I.O. – Get It On: Adam Carolla, Philosopher, Warrior, Genius
The Idea for this show originated with Adam Dristle aka “Unclepenny”, since 2008 I’ve had several requests to put out some sort of Adam Carolla clip show but Adam D. was the first person to title it and make it seem like a really easy thing to pull off.
I don’t have many set rules for the show, for now I’m just using clips I’ve sourced or that were already in the archive, I’ll stick to mostly Loveline for now but I might throw in some other random clips, none of this material is for sale or offered officially so who cares, this is my Pirate Ship.
The plan is to put together 60-90 min of clips from Adam Carolla’s content archive, I’ll intro the beginning if needed but for the most part I plan to keep all my talking for the end, listeners can then choose whether to listen to that part without having to fast forward.
I’ll be talking to other fans and people involved in archiving Adam content, I have some surprises planned as well.
If you have any suggestions to help the show or something you want to hear let me know.

I’m unable to share those shows, if you’d like to hear them the only way is to purchase the Year 1 podcast set, all 3 of my shows are on there in high quality.

Giovanni:
I just found out about this podcast and it looks very interesting. However, the mp3s are a little big for me to download. Can you offer a smaller mp3 for download?
Thanks
September 2, 2010 at 1:03 am
Giovanni, this is awesome, thanks for all your work. I could listen to you, BB and Ace talk loveline for days on end, it doesn’t get any better in my book (well, maybe if we brought Anderson in to the mix).
Are you going to be at any of Adam’s shows in Houston Oct 7-9?
Keep doin’ the lord’s work brother.

I’m a fan of the superfan! thank you for doing the hard work, the generations to come will thank you.
September 3, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Giovanni – Thank you for this podcast…I appreciate your time and efforts on this, and any complaints should be taken with a grain of salt – you don’t “owe” any of us anything – it’s just awesome to have your podcast available!
September 11, 2010 at 11:46 pm
Hello Gio , thank you for all your hard work. Do you or anyone have a copy of the seth mcfarlane episode when he has one of the family guy writers with him. I had it 5 years ago and accidently erased it.
September 19, 2010 at 2:45 pm
I think it’s actually from 2006 or 2007, the co writer would be ricky blitt and they were promoting that show “The Winner” with Rob Corddry based of Blitt’s life, they also expose Trey Parker and Matt Stone as alleged plagiarists if my memory serves correctly. Check the DC++ hub, instructions can be found via the TLC forums or check google, there are plenty of pirate sites out there I’m not affiliated with and will not name nor promote here, I don’t use them for various reasons.
It’s too bad WW1 doesn’t offer a full archive from 1995 on via their website, or at least the shows from 2006 on when they began podcasting, they can charge 5 bucks but they can’t provide more than 120 mp3s? REALLY?
September 19, 2010 at 7:25 pm
Giovannni, you are my hero. You have sat were all of us could only dream about sitting. I have two questions about episodes if you could help:
1. When was the episode of LL when Adam first started talking like Chief Running Bear? It started when Tara(don’t call me Tar-uh) horribly misspelled alopecia areata when she was screening calls.
2. Adam once composed a short poem about arrows. The red light arrows. Do you know when that episode was or what the poem was? I would like to have it stitched into a pillow or something.
Thanks for any help you can provide. Just know, that there are thousands of fans out here that are infinitely jealous of you.
September 21, 2010 at 11:45 am
Nobody should be jealous of me, trust me…
The Chief was actually named by Michael Narren, Adam had done the bit several times but each had it’s own name, Narren liked thunderbear the best so he used it in one of his cartoons so they had to keep using that one, the roots of the bit go further back before Tera DCMTGD but you are indeed correct about the misspelling incident, I’m going to eventually compose an ep of all thunderbear that will feature the earliest forms of the idea.
I can’t think of the poem off the top of my head but it sounds familiar, when I run into it I will use it in an ep too.
Thanks!

Hey, Giovanni
I have been loving the podcast, and I really thank you for putting this out. Like you, I listened the hell out of AC and Drew on Loveline, and I really appreciate you making these available for us to listen to. You’re doing great work. If you need a place to crash in NYC drop me an email.
June 20, 2011 at 12:18 pm
Hey what’s going on Gio? I’ve been in awe of your dedication to all things Ace for years it seems and this project is no exception. Good stuff.
ps if this isn’t enough and you ever get bored you’re more than welcome to fix up my site, lol. It’s the least I can do.
September 23, 2010 at 3:57 pm
Yo Giovanni
Love the podcast. Like you, I’ve listened to the commonly available stuff tons of times, so it’s great to hear the earlier stuff.
I have a request. One of the funniest shows to me, was the one where they have a crazy caller (shocking) who keeps saying his family is from Zacatecas, but Adam thinks he’s saying Suckadickis and starts going off about Ubangusuranus, too. If you could slide that into an upcoming podcast that would be great.
Keep it up GET IT ON
October 1, 2010 at 5:30 am
Thank you so much for the hard work, Giovanni. You make my days go by much more quickly. I never got to hear Adam and Drew on the radio, so this is great. I hope everyone else is showing you love. It is much appreciated!
October 8, 2010 at 10:58 am
hey gio,
thanks for all the work you do. i’m training for a marathon. since i’m often running for hours at a time, i listen to long GIO podcasts almost exclusively while training. not everyone is for having you cut shorter shows. for me, longer is better!
either way, keep it up! thanks!
November 10, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Oh thanks a lot cr, you kick that Marathons ass, I also love old Adam content while working out and running and even listen to these G.I.O eps myself just because the content is setup the exact way I’d want to hear it.
November 10, 2010 at 6:28 pm
Gio- awesome stuff.
How about a compilation of Ace’s most inspirational monologues/diatribes — some good “your helmet’s not a chair” stuff, patriotic stuff and some “get off your ass and do something with your life” speeches to callers. Might be shorter than 6 hours but it would be awesome to have a compilation of it.
Keep up the great work.
November 17, 2010 at 8:27 am
Gio.
YOU ROCK!!
Spent last Sunday at a Malibu beach with my son and his friend and was listening to your podcast laughing my butt off and having to let others know I was listening to a comedy show.
Keep up the hard work.
Craig

Hey Gio!
Love the podcast – it makes work much more enjoyable.
There’s a LL call I’m dying to hear again: a girl called in and said she found a hole drilled in the bathroom wall and she suspected her dad was spying on her friends. Of course, Drew got confused by the situation and Adam gave him shit. Do you know what episode this is from (or which GIO ep it’s on – I haven’t listened to all of them yet)?
Anyway, thanks for all the great work!

December 9, 2010 at 11:21 pm
hey gio.
love the old stuff, catching up on them now ep #7 had me rolling. any way you can put together a best of callers ep. i like to hear adam and dr. drews responces to the good calls.
December 26, 2010 at 8:17 pm
also, is there a place i can d/l the current loveline show, without becoming a member to get the full podcast? thanks
December 26, 2010 at 8:18 pm
Hey can you do a podcast with the Joey Ramone episode that Adam and Drew mention in the Getty Watanabe episode?
Maybe combine it with some Bad Religion and Offspring segments and have a whole punk themed show with the interview you wanted to do with Allison Rosen tacked on at the end.
February 3, 2011 at 11:10 am
Gio- wow, checking out this site. I just have to say I’m impressed and our kids and their kids will thank you someday. You do realize you’ve done more for Adam than his entire family has done for him in a lifetime.
Keep on Keepin on….Lynette
PS when re you having me on your show? Would love to do it! Xo
April 23, 2011 at 12:36 am
I became an Adam Carolla fan this year and love his podcast. I found your work on iTunes and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I never heard Loveline before now. Carolla is a genius. Thanks for the hard work you do making this content available.
April 26, 2011 at 8:01 pm
Giovanni, you are the greatest man alive. Thank you so much for bringing these podcasts to us. I used to go through the loveline archive religiously until it was shut down. Now this is my only source of classic Ace (except for the podcast of course of which I have listened to every episode). Keep up the good work. Your efforts will never go unappreciated.
May 13, 2011 at 12:59 am
Oh one more thing. You may have already done this (I’ve only managed to listen to half of the podcasts so far), but could you do a Bad Religion episode? I know they were on the show many times and Adam and Greg always seemed to have a great repertoire.
Thanks again!
May 13, 2011 at 1:02 am
Agree 100% about Greg and Ace, see lovelinetapes.com for your LL needs. BR ep has been in the works since day one, soon.
May 13, 2011 at 1:05 am
Hey Gio,
Love your podcast! Gets me through the work day! Are you still going to the NYC shows in June? I was hoping to get to see you there! Hey, BTW, i’m a vegetarian too, by choice, and it isn’t that bad! Someone just needs to introduce you to the right food brands! You should talk about yourself more, people like hearing your stories, black cloud/great magnet and all. hope all is well.
-Cassie
May 17, 2011 at 2:10 pm
You are awesome, thank you very much for this kind message, I will be in NYC for sure, all 3 nights with Unclepenny, Michael Narren, Tom Burbine, and TJ Flanagan(guy who has the ace tattoo), so it will be a mash up of Adam’s biggest fans, make sure to say hi and get some face time with Ace.
May 17, 2011 at 7:12 pm
Hey Gio,
It will be my first time seeing Adam live, and I could NOT be more excited to meet all of you!I will make sure to say hi to all of you! I wanted to bake some treats for you and all the folks, but i don’t know how well they will travel on the train lol. I love to bake and i KNOW Adam would love my pie
I will be there for thursday night and friday night’s first show. Staying in the city all weekend long for vacation with my mom
You selling the ACE merch this time? or more hanging out than helping out?
Get it on. ttyl. Cassie
May 18, 2011 at 8:59 am
Gio,
you are doing the Lord’s work! Just finished the DAG eps and the first Clive Barker ep – so awesome! Thanks so much!
Lex
May 31, 2011 at 9:36 am
Hey Gio,
Thanks for keeping the awesome rolling. Is there anywhere that I can get full episodes? Everyone has trying to find a way to give them to me as a gift with no luck.
Thanks and I’m a happier healthier dude because of your efforts!
June 1, 2011 at 3:27 pm
Hey Gio! I’m listening to ep. 66 now. Don’t be upset, and don’t listen to those jerks giving you a hard time, whoever they are (and trust me, i doubt they are anyone). Cheer up! and keep up the good work. Great job on Ace’s podcast, you should go on more often. You can tell that Adam really appreciates and admires you! See you in NYC!
-Cassie
June 2, 2011 at 1:04 pm
Thanks for putting this all together Giovanni. Really appreciate all the hard work that goes into these. I am always checking for updated podcasts on iTunes. Keep up the good work and don’t let the “haters” get you down.
June 2, 2011 at 11:21 pm
Hey Giovanni,
Man, you sounded quite glum at the outset of episode 66. I just wanted to say that, regardless of what your detractors might say, G. I. O. is a fantastic piece of work. This podcast has given me far more laughs than the ACS ever has, and I for one think you should be proud of the work you’ve put into it. It certainly must be a labor of love (sometimes more of the former, less of the latter I’m sure), but I believe there are many like me who immensely appreciate your dedication and product. They should speak up more.
So, notwithstanding the other drama in your life, dont sweat what those holier-than-thou a-holes say about you from time to time. You’ve got something to be proud of here, and I’m thankful for it.
Get it on,
Jeff (writing from sunny Greenlake in Seattle, Wa)
Ps as a side note, how many of those people can say that they have a bonafide relationship with their idol? If it were me, I’d be shooting hoops with Obama and Michael Jordan right now, but I’m not as lucky and you’ve been.
June 3, 2011 at 12:21 pm
Thank you, you’ve given me something to think about.
I appreciate the kind words more than you probably know, people like you are the only reason I even still do the show and will continue to do it.
June 3, 2011 at 12:36 pm
Well good to hear man. Glad you hear the positive stuff too. And I’ve always had love for my fellow northwesterners. Different subject; has Adam interviewed any hyperfamous politicians, anywhere? Just curious, no need for a prompt response. Thanks Gio.
June 3, 2011 at 1:27 pm
Hey Gionvanni
There needs to be ACE broadcasting merchandise. drop me a line for more info.
Thanks
J
June 6, 2011 at 12:40 pm
hey gio… get it on. i heard you recently on the adam carolla show and wanted to check out your site. looks cool so far. but i am confused and maybe doing something wrong… on the episode guide page, i can see episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 – and then it jumps to 43. i can see all of the show notes but they don’t have links to download the episodes. how to i get episode 8 thru 42?
thanks!
June 8, 2011 at 6:24 pm
Hey thanks! you’re not doing anything wrong, the site is kinda convoluted, I couldn’t afford to pay for all the shows and didn’t want to pull them, but finally had to, episodes 1-4 are in the archive only and the links are offsite(megaupload) but should be working, then there are two volumes I couldn’t speak on due to losing my voice so I moved them to the archive too, just in case there was any issue with me not adding content of my own, the remaining episodes are all available on the site in each post, there are 60 posts, it depends on how you’re viewing the site, if on a smart phone turn off the mobile view, if on a full computer just save the blue links found in each episode post here, or you can use the RSS found on the right hand side of the page, or the itunes link, whatever you prefer.
June 8, 2011 at 6:30 pm
thanks buddy… i will use itunes. that will be perfect. thanks so much for your help and for the info!
June 9, 2011 at 4:38 pm
Go to iTunes, and download them all! You can’t miss an episode! (I somehow get emails every time someone posts on this site now through word press, i must seem like a stalker!) Hey Gio- are you still going to NYC? Also, I’m super bored at work this week, and I could really go for a new episode
Get It On! Hope all is well.
-Cassie
June 8, 2011 at 6:31 pm
I’m doing my best to make NYC, right now it’s a money/hotel hiccup but I’m waiting on two potential checks, so … I’m 85% sure I’ll be there but whatever can go wrong often does with me.
I posted ep 67 last night and the remix of 7 today, I have a 7hr super ep on deck, the edit is done and the file is almost ready, I could post it early, was going to make everyone wait a week but if you need an ep, perhaps I should just post it.
June 8, 2011 at 6:36 pm
Well, don’t post it on my account! Whenever you are ready. I think I have your black cloud lately, in the past two weeks a bike shop wrecked the engine in my husband’s motorcycle, my garage opener broke, and my microwave exploded into flames on monday! My kitchen still smells. So remember I am suffering right there with you! My mom and I would Love to take you out to dinner. We have reservations for Caroline’s thursday and friday night. Buying you dinner is the LEAST I can do for all the work you put into the podcast for people like me to enjoy! Plus, I have to teach you how to enjoy being a vegetarian! lol
-Cassie
June 8, 2011 at 6:41 pm
Gio,
How do I get a DVD copy of the Adam Carolla Project? If you have this or know how to get it please let me know! Thanks!
June 12, 2011 at 9:03 pm
Givanni–do you have Loveline footage of Adam and Dr. Drew’s horrible ordeal with Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas?
Mahalo
June 16, 2011 at 2:57 am
We know of ways to access the mtv clips of Wild Orchid…
Lovelinetapes.com for the 2004 Black Eyed Pea’s loveline where she talks about meth, also there is a loveline from right after the incident, I can’t recall the date but type fergie into the search box on the same sight and search the comments, it should come up.
Or wait cause she will one day be part of an ep themed around women who loved Adam.
June 18, 2011 at 3:25 pm
Gio,
I just wanted to drop by and say that I had never actually listed to LL before this podcast. I had only become an Ace fan when he started the podcast. I used to think he was stupid and sexist etc before I actually listened to the man. Now I totally love him. I am so glad you have put this together so that I can go back and listen to all of the things I missed over the years.
I am also love hearing about the inner workings that you sort of discuss.
I don’t know how I could be of help to you or your cause (other than buy the Ace Broadcasting items that is) but please feel free to email me and let me know if there is anything I can do.
get it on!
Rachel
June 23, 2011 at 1:29 pm
Hey Gio,
OMG! What a show last night. I was super embarassed, felt kinda awkward after. lol I hope the cookies and brownies were liked! It was the highlight of my night meeting you and katie and every one else. Safe travels.
Thanks!

June 24, 2011 at 6:46 am
Hey Gio, I was wondering if you heard the 2006 tacs with the psychic shar. She predicts is knee problems coming back and predicted the twins correctly. You are my Role Model GIO. I can only hope to be as big of an Ace fan! She is a fairly smart person and a good itnerview and interesting readings. GET SHAR IN ON THE PODCAST!
July 12, 2011 at 3:30 pm
Was reflecting on my favorite LL clip, haven’t heard it yet on your podcast (currently on ep 47.) Was the late 90′s and Adam sounded exceptionally fatigued and bitched at great length about the slow-to-turn stop lights on his way home from the show. quote “I sit. I sit and I rot…” It wasn’t a classic yelling rant, but has stuck with me all these years. Say it to my wife when I’m pissed at lights, she doesn’t get it.
Thanks for all your work on the podcast, greatly appreciated.
July 17, 2011 at 3:17 pm
Gio, I have every single Adam Carolla Podcast since Feb 23,2009. This is taking up a bunch of space on my computer so I’m burning them onto DVDs so I can delete them off of my hard drive. I was wondering if you have a list of all the guests who were on every podcast so I have some way of referencing an episode if I want to listen to a specific one?
August 4, 2011 at 3:17 pm
Well the official listing of all the guests in order is on the YEAR 1 DVD, I can’t give out the tags cause they’re my work and the main selling point for the DVD’s if anyone did do that I would have to quit doing this show, took me over a year of work to do that, plus there in recording order which is even more difficult.
The Release order is noted in the tags for the dvd set but it would take over a week to export them back out of order, why not just buy the Combo pack, it doesn’t go to me but it’s one of the best ways to support the ACS, not a lot of middlemen, my show and my work relies on the ACS, the sales of the DVD’s are being used to convince “other parties” to let me do the official LL tapes.
Sorry I can’t give away this part of my work for free and cannot support anyone doing it, The way back machine online should show you all the ACP pages in order, you could use that or archive.org hosts the first 9 months of shows in standard low quality you can use that as well, both would be quicker than anything I would be able to do.
August 4, 2011 at 4:31 pm
Giovanni,
I’m late to discover this, I’m backlogged in my Ace podcasts and just listened to yours with him from late May. Just downloaded and listened today. Hooked on the tapes. Thank you, I’m giving them a marathon lisenting session from now till I’m thru.
You rock.
August 8, 2011 at 10:01 pm
An episode where you apologize to Anderson for your incessant emails would be hilarious! I’m just busting your chops. I’m way to young to have listened to Loveline back in the day so I really appreciate your work! Anyways, I was wondering if there was a place I could go to download the morning show (post-Bonaduce). Also, it’d be great to have Alison Rosen, Freddy Tinkleman from Low Budget FM, and Bald Bryan as guests!
August 22, 2011 at 7:30 pm
Thank you so much for all your hard work. I just started to listening to Adam 6 months ago, then had to get the discs, and am now plowing through the LL archives. They are my primary source of entertainment right now, by far, and l am so grateful you have made them available. You are an exceptionally talented editor. And a really fine writer as well. Your tweets are the best kind of humor– really damn funny and genuine.
Thanks again,
John W
September 16, 2011 at 8:06 pm
Hey Gio, it was fun being on your podcast and thanks for transferring the old Loveline shows. Hopefully the Adam Carolla Podcast DVD sales will convince whoever has the rights to MTV Loveline to release those on DVD too!
November 6, 2011 at 5:21 pm
Hi Gio-
I love your podcast and don’t shorten it. I was wondering who some of the artists and songs were that you use between some of your clips. I would like to get it for my play list.
January 21, 2012 at 2:29 am
If you can give me an episode number or theme or slight hint, I can then fill you in, I was vague on purpose but I don’t mind filling you in here
January 24, 2012 at 6:40 pm
Giovanni,
Just want to say thank you for all the archiving work you have done, I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed having access to all this classic material.
January 24, 2012 at 7:37 pm
